The Chilliwack market update from June 2nd to July 2nd, 2021 is as follows:
Another month has come and gone...and once again, we have seen a lot of action in the market as a whole! However, with that being said, not all property types are maintaining the spike of a couple of months ago!
Single Family Homes:
- Here we see a little decrease across the board in average listing price, new active listings, and units sold. Which is an indication of a market which is beginning to stabilize within the single family niche. However, some homes are still experiencing elevated intered based on their location and desirability.
- Condos made a bit of a run in June, increasing in both average listing price, and new active listings. However, it underwent a slight decrease when ot came to thenumber of units sold. The condo market is beginning to cater to a demographic which are eager to get into the market, but can't take the leap into the elevated prices of both townhomes and single family homes.
- Townhomes have gained heavy popularity over the last couple of months. Although June experienced a decrease in average listing price, new active listings, and units sold, they are still a hot commodity. People are beginning to realize that townhomes are a great alternative to a single-family home, esepcially with newer builds beinging in favorable floor-plans and a modern touch!
